AURIGA LAUNCHES COMPLETE

OPTRONICS PLUS CAT6 NETWORKING SOLUTION

MILTON KEYNES, UK – 1 March 2005 - Auriga (Europe) Plc, the Milton Keynes-based distributor of structured cabling, networking systems and accessories has announced the launch of OPTRONICS PLUS branded Category 6 networking products.  Presenting a full end-to-end solution, the new range is backed by a 15-year warranty via approved installers.

Building upon the existing CAT5e offering, the new OPTRONICS PLUS CAT6 range has been designed to compete at the budget-conscious end of the market and complement the existing premium CAT6 systems from 3M, BRAND-REX and TYCO Amp NetConnect.  Meeting ANSI/TIA/EIA standards, the OPTRONICS PLUS CAT6 range is ideally suited for Gigabit Ethernet and high-speed data applications requiring Class E conformity.

OPTRONICS PLUS CAT6 cables are available with either a low smoke (LSZH) or PVC jacket in 305m easy-pull boxes.  A full range of unshielded patchcords from 0.5 to 10m is offered in a wide selection of colours.  RJ45 patch panels are available in 1U high 16 or 24-port or 2U 48-port versions and feature lacquered steel front panels.  Slimline CAT6 RJ45 modules in the popular Euromod (25 x 50mm) size snap into the existing range of OPTRONICS PLUS faceplates.

The new CAT6 system like other OPTRONICS and OPTRONICS PLUS products is supported by a 15-year warranty when installed by an authorised installer and guaranteed to meet the most stringent channel performance criteria.
