Overview
The SMC-EZ6516TX is a 16-port 10/100 Mbps dual-speed desktop network switch that is as easy to install and use as an ordinary hub. The SMC-EZ6516TX boasts up to 1.6 Gbps of aggregate bandwidth and dramatically improves network performance by offering speeds up to 200 Mbps per port. Each port supports auto MDI/MDI-X, allowing the port to auto sense whether the attached cable is the normal or cross over type, so you don't need to worry about having the wrong cable. Designed for integration with any Home or Small Office network, the SMC-EZ6516TX supports store-and-forward architecture and flow control to ensure data delivery and network integrity. Since full bandwidth capability is achieved on each individual port, congestion problems associated with shared hubs are easily avoided. Powerful enough to run a network ’s backbone, yet easy enough to be used in place of a desktop hubs, the SMC-EZ6516TX delivers the power of switching to the home user.
