MPO Solutions

MPO Solutions

he MPO connector is the latest development of the now legendary MT ferrule.
This amazing technology is at the heart of many state of the art connectors. In the Optronics range of Optronics MPO connectors the ferrule is capable of connecting between 4 and 12 fibres.
The High density MPO connector allows for the simple termination of the fibre backbone.
With the demand for pre-terminated fibre cables growing, the MPO gives the perfect solution to the ever-present problem of protecting the terminated fibres during installation.
The High density MPO connector allows the simple termination of the fibre backbone. Once installed the backbone needs to have the correct interface to suit the needs of the Network hardware. Using the MPO connector on pre-terminated fibre solutions, allows you to prepare the distribution units in the comfort of your own workshop. This can be taken a step further by having the distribution cabinets built in a clean facility and only taken to site when the installation is due to go live. MPO pre-termination saves time and reduces the possibility of damage to the fragile optical tails and reduces the risk of dirt ingress into Fibre couplers.
The MPO fan-out is the crucial part of the system converting from the high density MPO to the interface required by your hardware. Available in either breakout or pigtail versions the fan-out gives the flexibility to choose a product that perfectly meets your needs.
The pre-terminated MPO cable assembly can be treated like an over length patch cord. with no fragile fibres or connectors to worry about. The fan-out stage is simply plugged in once the main cable is installed protecting the fragile fibre tails. The small size of the MPO allows pre-terminated fibre cable to be fed through the smallest holes, making the installation of pre-terminated fibre even easier.
The MPO is the answer to tomorrows challenges with pre-terminated fibre cable, but available from Optronics today.
The Optronics range of fibre optic assemblies has grown through the years, from every day standard lengths to special products to meet your needs. From industry standard 62.5/125 multimode to 9/125 singlemode right the way up to state of the art OM3 50/125 cable assemblies, Optrinics can supply them all.
With a Optronics assembly you can be confident you are using the very best in Cable, Connectors AND manufacturing process.
Optronics can supply distribution panels or boxes pre-assembled with the MPO fan-out to suit your interface requirements; contact the sales office number with your requirements.

Description

The MPO connectors are a very high-density small form factor connector, designed to simplify the process of pre-termination of backbone cables.

Optronics has a full range of tools and products to assist you with the termination of the MPO connector. For those who prefer to purchase a full pre-terminated system Optronics can supply all your needs.
