The SMLP 5-5 Test Kit combines an OPM5-2C Optical Power Meter and an OLS4 Optical Light Source. The OLS4 is a four-wavelength stabilized Optical Light Source. It contains a Singlemode (SM) Class I laser source port and a Multimode (MM) Class I LED source port.
The OPM5-2C is a full featured Optical Power Meter calibrated at 850, 1300, 1310, and 1550nm. Both instruments are lightweight, hand-held, and operate from 9V batteries.
The OPM5-2C measures insertion loss (attenuation) in dB and power in dBm or W. The OPM5-2C can store 500 test results per wavelength.
With the supplied PC software, saved test results can be transferred to a PC for storage, printing, and analysis.
The SMLP 5-5 is ideally suited for testing fibre optic networks with hybrid (singlemode & multimode) cables. |
