Fibre Boxes are lengths of optical fibre
packaged in field-portable cases and terminated by test jumpers with
specified connector types.
Fibre Boxes may be used as launch and receive cables, which are required to
measure the insertion loss and reflectance of the near-end and far-end
connectors respectively, on the fibre link being tested.
For network simulation applications, fibre boxes may include
customer-specified connections and splices.
