RapidNet Network Cabling System

HellermannTyton Network Sciences RapidNet provides a quick and easy solution for the rapid installation of cabling networks.

Common themes for all cabling installations are quality control, consistent repeatable terminations, installation time and the human resource required on site to complete a successful project on time and within budget. HellermannTyton have addressed all of these critical issues by designing a bespoke end-to-end system that seeks to improve the quality of installation and reduce installation time on site.

They have achieved this by transferring certain activities which were previously conducted at the installation site to HellermanTyton's factory shop floor, enabling more repeatable quality control.

Applications

Ideal for open raised floor environments.
Buildings that utilise ceiling voids may also be suitable.
The outlet pod can be used as a consolidation point and as a flexible tail
should floor box or consolidation points need to be moved.
Panel to panel pre-terminated cable units are also available for use in data centres and communication room to communication room applications.
Single ended versions are also available i.e. panel end only terminated or workstation
end only terminated depending on the configuration required.
Single ended solutions are ideal for installation in wall mounted trunking.

Testing

100% performance testing of all pre-terminated cable units is carried out at
their Northampton manufacturing premises prior to all cable units being released from Quality Control.
Once the cables have been installed on site we recommend that a DC test is carried out on 5 of the 6 cables from each cable loom to establish continuity, with the 6th cable undergoing a further full performance test.
All performance testing is carried out in line with ISO 11801 and EIA/TIA 568 Standards.

RapidNet is fully covered by a comprehensive 25 Year System Guarantee which fully covers the performance of the system in addition to the lifetime product guarantee.
Only HellermannTyton Network Sciences Partners are authorised to design, install, and test a RapidNet system. In addition, only they are authorised to apply for a 25 year Network Sciences system warranty.
