The Austin Taylor 760B and 1500B Cabinets are medium duty distribution cabinets manufactured in ferritic stainless steel.

The flush fitting door(s) are secured by a 3-point shoot bolt system. The concealed hinges are stainless steel weld-on type.

Materials

Roof
Pitched roof in 2mm thick material welded to body.

Body
2mm thick ferritic stainless steel.

3mm ferritic stainless steel.

Doors
Flush fitting doors with concealed stainless steel weld-on hinges. 2mm thick ferritic stainless steel.

Doors open through 120 degrees. Stays retain doors at 90 degrees.
760B has single door. 1500B has double doors.

Latches
Lowe & Fletcher latch operating a three point shoot bolt system.

Door seals
Replaceable synthetic rubber car boot type seals are used throughout.

Protection
IP43 minimum.

Backboard
20mm Marine ply backboard.

Earthing
4mm sq yellow & green multistrand doors/body. M8 brass bolt for equipment earth.

Ventilation
Convection currents draw fresh air in through louvres at sides of cabinet forcing warm air out through concealed vents above the doors. Side vents are protected by insect-proof mesh.

Finish
Pre-treatment by chemical etching followed by powder coating with polyester material in customers choice of colour (standard is green). Alternate colour finishes and silk screened or embossed logos are available on request. The semi-gloss finish enables graffiti to be removed using mild solvents or mild abrasive compounds. Damage can be touched up using brush or aerosol techniques. Repainting is best achieved using two pack poly-urethane compounds although gloss paint can be used.
