The Austin Taylor Lockbox is designed for use in the dry riser or lift shaft of multi-dwelling units (MDU's). It is wall mounted and has provision for industry standard 10 pair IDC strips. CATV taps and/or other equipment.
When the cover is removed, there is full 180 degree access for installation. When the cover is replaced, the edges are shielded by protective flanges to inhibit unauthorised access. The cover has two locks for extra security.
The cover guide supports the cover during removal and replacement and also contains cable tie points.
The IDC strip backmount positions are provided by flexible fingers. Unused positions may be left flat to further facilitate access and to act as extra cable tie fixing points. Alternate backmounts can be screwed to the backplate.
The cable entry points at the top and bottom of the lockbox are designed to interface with standard 2" x 2" (50mm x 50mm) trunking.
The Lockbox is manufactured from 1.2mm galvanised steel and the finish is self colour.
