PSTN master
Used for direct connection to exchange line.

Contains :

• 1.8uF ring capacitor

• 470KOhm resistor

• 26A surge arrestor.

PBX master
Used for connection to PBX extension

Contains :

• 1.8uF ring capacitor

Secondary
Used where no mastering components are required e.g. extension sockets or for two wire telephones.

Customised circuits

In addition to the standard BT style mastering types described on this page, Austin Taylor also supply a wide range of line jacks with customised circuits.

Supplied to clients throughout the world, they are tailored to the requirements of particular countries and / or switching systems.

Common variants include :

• Termination resistors for bus type wiring

• 2 or 3 wire circuits

• Remote test components e.g. diodes
