Users
connecting to ADSL services must use an ADSL filter to use their telephone.
These filters are typically plugged into their telephone socket(s). Because
the filters are plugged into the socket, there are disadvantages:- It does
not look particularly neat, there may be space problems, it is expensive and
inconvenient for installers wishing to provide their clients with the latest
in reliable computer/telephony integration and both the unit and jack are
susceptible to damage, particularly if the jack is located on a skirting
board or near furniture.
The solution
to the problem is depicted by the Austin Taylor range of ADSL Line Filtered
Line Jacks. Available in a range of 6 variants, the jacks provide ADSL
filtered output at the socket, while still offering the facility to extend
the unfiltered lines to additional sockets. |
