Launch leads are an essential requirement for carrying out testing with OTDR’s. They allow a loss and reflectance to be acquired for the first connector of a fibre optic installation.
Also known as dead zone eliminators, Auriga can manufacture launch leads to order, with standard connectors, for multimode and singlemode applications.
Launch leads are also used as receive cables so when testing with an OTDR you can measure the loss and reflectance of the last connector in a fibre optic installation.
